Join a local naturalist and see diverse birds of Surrey. You'll see Surrey’s diverse habitats and get to know your local parks.

Walks are drop-in, rain or shine.  Walks may be canceled in high winds or extreme weather conditions.

Stay comfortable by wearing appropriate clothing for mixed weather conditions. Wear sturdy footwear, layered clothing, and sun or rain protection. Bring a pair of binoculars and a field guide, if you have them. Binoculars are available to borrow.

Ideal for beginner to intermediate birders of all ages.

Godwin Farm Biodiversity Preserve Park (9016 164 Street)

Look for birds in the old fields, orchard, pond and forest in one of Surrey’s newest parks. Meet at the parking lot off of 164 Street.

Mar 21 9am - 11am

Surrey Nature Centre at Green Timbers (14225 Green Timbers Way)

Start by observing the bird feeders at the Surrey Nature Centre, and then walk along forested trails to Green Timbers Lake. Meet in the Surrey Nature Centre’s parking lot.

Apr 18 9am - 11am

Redwood Park (17900 20 Avenue)

See how local birds use the arboretum, a collection of trees from around the world. Meet in the parking lot off of 20 Avenue.

May 16 9am - 11am

Surrey Lake Park (7500 152 Street)

Search for birds in the lake, meadow, marsh and forest habitats of this diverse park. The parking lot can only be entered from northbound 152 Street.
